Harris Corporation has recently built an advanced antenna reflector and successfully deployed it in space onboard of the Sirius FM-6 satellite. It is said that the reflector has about 9-meter diameter aperture and supposed to have high power signal for delivering the premier sports talk, live events, commercial-free music, comedy, news, exclusive talk and entertainment, sports, talk programming in radio and the most comprehensive Latin music to 25.6 million subscribers of SiriusXM’s.

The antenna has been built with gold-plated mesh reflective surface and it can provide you ameliorated performance demanded for mobile media services. During the course of its launch, the reflector was stowed onboard with the Sirius FM-6 satellite and it was looking like an umbrella.

The vice president and general manager of National Programs Harris Government Communications Systems Bill Gattle said that “it was the fourth flawless deployment for SiriusXM and the continuation of successful track record made us very happy to work with SSL”. Actually, SSL designed the Sirius FM-6 satellite for providing the best audio services to all kinds of radio listeners and this newly launched reflector is supposed to be one of the best 50 reflectors orbiting in the space.
